Oval Shape AGL & GRS Padparadscha Sapphire 1.15 cts

A Gorgeous Top Color Padparadscha Sapphire with an interesting history. Although confirmed as Madagascar Origin, analyzing the treatment was an issue. Typically, labs write “No Indications of Heating.” Or “No Indications of Thermal Treatment” as a negative phrase to say that they were unable to detect any evidence that the sapphire received concrete proof of a treatment, such as high heating. A Sapphire naturally exists an extremely high temperature environment below the earth. Most times, sapphires will be subjected to more heating after they come out of the mine. This process is done by above the earth means such as ovens, and other torching devices that replicate the beneath earth conditions.

Accordingly, GRS did not detect any treatment. However, AGL uses the description “low heat” temperature sometimes on sapphires. These situations are uncommon. When they happen, it is our ethical obligation to disclose it. We take pride in our company’s transparency.
